Q.  We are having a function outdoors and want to consider the options for covering the event against unpredictable weather. What should we do?

Q.  Having spoken to council, our planned function will be on the weekend in a public park. We need a marquee installed early and then the equipment removed at the end of the day. Can this be done?

A.  Certainly. Partytime Hire can give quotations for all sorts of circumstances. Labour rates for weekends are applicable and may be more affordable than you think. Tell us the time you need the job complete and we will make it happen.

Q.  I'm organising a party and need a marquee. I know how many guests are expected, but I have no idea what size marquee I will need. How can I get a rough idea?

A.  You can start by visiting our Marquee page and using the table which illustrates standing capacity and seating capacity for our marquees. For corporate functions and weddings we can design your specific event by creating C.A.D. drawings specific to your event. Click here to view examples.

A general rule of thumb is;

  • Cocktail Parties
    allow 0.6m² per person
            • Theatre Style seating
              allow 0.8m² per person
  • Sit Down Dinners
    allow 1.0m² per person
            • Sit Down Dinner with Dancing
              allow 1.5m² per person
  • Banquet style table arrangement
    allow 0.6m² per person per side

 

Q.  I'm considering having a party but have no clue about the cost of hiring products. Can I just get a quotation for the items I think I need?

Q.  I'm pretty practical and would like to hire a marquee to erect myself. Are they relatively easy to erect?

A.  It depends on the site. Generally, marquees erected on grass are easier given some general know-how. Small "pop-up" marquees are ideal for paved areas and are also easy to install. For installation instructions that can be printed - Click here
